HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre City Council met on Monday evening for their regular monthly meeting and unanimously approved several agenda items.
The Council approved a 90-day variance request from community members to place ribbons and signs in downtown to honor COVID-19 fatalities in Hill County. This memorial was previously along 5th Avenue, but the 30-days the Montana Highway Patrol allowed for the memorial to be displayed has expired.
Also approved at the meeting:
- The Council approved the confirmation of promotion of Taylor Gopher to the position of full-time Patrol Officer with the Havre Police Department, and the confirmation of the appointment of Ryan Stewart as a Probationary Officer with the Havre Police Department
- The Council approved the routine audit for the fiscal year that ended on June 30th, 2020. The City received an “unmodified” opinion, which means there were no issues found in their financial statements through the audit.
- Adoption of the 2018 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code. The City has adopted the same edition of codes for previously, but the energy codes were just reviewed by the state.
- February claims and manual warrants
The next Havre City Council meeting is scheduled for April 5th.
