HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Havre Area Head Start and Early Head Start is currently accepting applications for children five years of age and under.
Katlynn Bodner, Interim Child Services Director for the Northern Montana Child Development Center says they provide young children with crucial skills.
“Head Start allows children to grow more than academically. It provides them with the social and emotional skills they need when they go into kindergarten and further on into their schooling. We focus strongly on giving them the opportunities some children don’t get when it comes to going into kindergarten. We provide them with a strong foundation for complete success as they grow into adults.”
There are income guidelines for the program, but there are also slots available for families above the threshold.
“So I recommend that anybody who feels compelled to apply, to apply. We have slots available for all parts of all income guidelines.”
