LEWISTOWN, Mont. (NMB) – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has confirmed that a grizzly bear was spotted in late April in the Big Snowy Mountains near Lewistown
The Billings Gazette was first to report that a game camera spotted an adult grizzly next to a dead cow carcass, although the bear did not kill the cow.
This is the first time FWP has spotted a grizzly in the central Montana island mountain range.
