BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – The Billings Gazette reports that a woman was caught by authorities on Saturday after escaping from the Montana Women’s Prison on Friday.
Lisa Anne Nester was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service at around 8:30 PM on Saturday in Billings.
Nester is being held in the Yellowstone County Detention Center on suspicion of felony escape.
Back in April, Nester was sentenced to 36 months in prison for a separate pre-release escape.
The incident, which is believed to be the first escape from the Women’s Prison since 2016, is under investigation.
