HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – A man convicted of deliberate homicide for murdering Michelle Sorrows of Ennis has been sentenced to 100 years in prison, with no time suspended.
Stanley Gordon Bernadini, 58, was sentenced this week in a case that was prosecuted by the Montana Department of Justice’s Prosecution Services Bureau. Bernadini also received a concurrent 10 year sentence for tampering with physical evidence.
During the October 2020 trial, Bernadini admitted to killing Sorrows following a fight. He buried her body in a remote area in the Madison Range near where he worked as a ranch hand. Sorrow’s remains were recovered by law enforcement in June 2019.
