FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – Fort Belknap Agency reports that two people were arrested after a stabbing and assault in the New Town Housing Area.
According to a press release, just before 8 AM on May 19th, Officers arrived at the scene and discovered that two individuals from the area had stabbed a male, assaulted a female, and attempted to kidnap both of the individuals. The victims received medical treatment.
The suspects fled in a stolen vehicle, and just after 11 AM, Officers engaged in a pursuit. The identified suspects were the two occupants of the vehicle, which “fled through construction zones and multiple housing areas in a reckless manner and at dangerous speeds.”
Officers were able to stop the vehicle south of Lodge Pole and apprehend the suspects.
The identities of the suspects have not been released.
