
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre Sector Border Patrol Headquarters wants to alert the public of spam phone calls purporting to come from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The callers state that there is a suspicious package being delivered to the person’s residence, and are instructed to press 1 to speak to an officer, who then tries to get private bank information.
These are false calls, and CBP says they would not ask for your personal information. Do not provide personal information over the phone to the callers. If you receive this type of call, please hang up immediately.
