ST. REGIS, Mont. (NMB) – The Mineral Independent reports that operations at a sawmill in St. Regis will be indefinitely suspended by late November.
The announcement from Idaho Forest Group will directly impact the 99 employees at the mill.
A spokesperson for IFG says that with lumber prices returning to normal, they are unable to turn a profit and are unable to meet production goals.
IFG has 40 job vacancies in Idaho, so some of the Montana employees may be relocated.
