HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – Governor Greg Gianforte has announced the approval of a request from Sidney Health Center for four Montana National Guardsmen to aid the medical center in its COVID-19 response.
As of Tuesday afternoon, a total of 148 National Guardsmen have been sent to hospitals across the state this month to help ease the strain on the healthcare system.
The Governor’s office says they will continue to provide resources to hospitals to help secure necessary staffing.
Montana Disaster and Emergency Services continues to assist hospitals in the process of securing full reimbursements from FEMA for eligible COVID-19 staffing needs.
