RAVALLI COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Ravalli Republic reports that a teenager from Victor was killed in an accidental shooting on Monday.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton says the incident occurred at a home outside of Pinesdale when the victim’s friend accidentally discharged a firearm.
The teenager, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
Holton says this is a “tragic reminder that people should always follow the basic firearm safety rules. Treat every weapon like it is loaded. Never point a firearm in anyone’s direction and know what’s in front of the muzzle.”
