
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre law enforcement would like to remind the public of rules regarding the discharging and purchase of fireworks in city limits.
The discharging of fireworks in city limits this holiday season is only allowed from 10 PM on December 31st to 12:30 AM on January 1st.
The sale of fireworks in city limits is only permitted on December 31st from 8 AM-Midnight.
Any person, group or organization wishing to sell fireworks within city limits must obtain a special permit.
It is illegal for anyone to leave debris from discharged fireworks on any public place including, but not limited to: parks, sidewalks, streets, alleys, or private property not owned by the person discharging the fireworks.
All fireworks are banned from all City parks. Fireworks may not be discharged in any city park or on any public sidewalk, street, public right-of-way, public easement or alley.
