Pony Wrestlers Compete at Cut Bank

In the team standings among the boys at the Cut Bank Meet, the host Wolves topped the field with 226 points, Havre placed second with 198 points, and Chinook took ninth. Top placers for Havre; Orion Thivierge placed first at 150 pounds, Randy Tommerup bested the field at 205 pounds, Kyle Vancampen finished third, while Kendall and Rylie Plenninger took second in their respective weight classes. Finally, Carson Harris and Ryan Stygles each took fourth. For Chinook Tyler Shoen and Wyatt Dunbar each placed second.

On the girls side of the tournament, the Havre girls finished second with Harlem placing fourth. For the Havre team; Aaliyah Stiffarm was a first place finisher, Claire Laird was fourth, and Brooklyn Nelson finished second. Chinook had two top placers with Riley Hofelt and Shay Hauer and Harlem’s top placers included; Amilia Black Crow placing second, Izzy Baker taking third, and Ihte Stiffarm placing second.

Next for the Havre wrestling team, they have a series of dual meets in Lewistown Tuesday then The Missoula Invitational Friday and Saturday. The area B and C teams will be in Choteau for the weekend.
