HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The known active case count for COVID-19 in Montana again reached a record high on Friday, with over 19,800 people infected across the state.
That is according to the state health department’s daily dashboard update, which reported another 2,888 cases on Friday, with 314 people hospitalized with the virus.
Seven counties reported at least 100 new COVID cases Friday, led by Yellowstone with 601, Missoula with 372, Lewis and Clark with 273, and Gallatin with 219.
The death toll is nearing the grim milestone of 3,000, as the state reported three new COVID-related deaths on Friday, bringing the total to 2,993.
