Support Group in Havre for Families of Children with Neurodivergencies

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A Family Support Specialist will be holding a meet and greet on Monday in Havre as she works to create a Support group for families of children with neurodivergencies.

Amanda Christofferson of Benchmark Human Services in Havre is working with DPHHS to create a Circle of Parents Family Support Group. The program is state funded.

The meet and greet is scheduled for 6:30 PM on Monday at the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Line. Dinner and childcare will be provided.

During the open house, people can come and meet the facilitators and learn about being a parent leader or a person who might be interested in joining the group.

Christofferson said in a press release that “the group will share ideas, meet and lift each other up with encouragement and the real, raw, truth of being an exceptional caregiver to someone with neurodivergencies or mental health battles.”
