GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – A 73-year-old Great Falls man was killed in a two-vehicle fatal crash on I-15 on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Philip Schol. The crash occurred at mile marker 278 of I-15 north near the airport exit.
MHP says the victim was driving a Ford Ranger that lost control on the icy road while heading south. The vehicle crossed the median and entered the northbound lanes, colliding with a Toyota Rav-4.
The driver of the Toyota did not suffer serious injuries.
The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, while the manner of death was accidental.
