State Lawmaker Dies after Long Health Battle

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – In a press release Monday, the Republican leadership from the State Legislature confirmed the death of Representative Frank Fleming of Billings.

According to the release, Fleming, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, had been in a long and difficult health battle. Jobs he previously held included Chief Federal Probation Officer and Manager at Job Service.

The statement adds that their prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

Fleming served in the legislature since 2018 and did not file for re-election for another term.

Governor Greg Gianforte ordered flags flown over state buildings and grounds to be at half staff during daylight on Tuesday to honor Fleming.
