Wednesday Montana COVID Update

HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The rate of new COVID-19 cases in Montana is continuing to trend downward.

In their Wednesday morning update, the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services reported 137 new COVID-19 cases and three new deaths across the state.

Flathead County reported two new deaths, while Lewis and Clark reported one. All occurred in March.

The known active COVID case count in the state increased by 14 from Tuesday to 956, while the number of COVID-related hospitalizations dropped by four to 79.

Gallatin County led the way in newly reported cases with 26, followed by Cascade with 24.

The percentage of eligible Montanans considered fully immunized is at 55 percent, with over 1.41 million vaccine doses administered.
