HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Park Board convened on Monday for their regular monthly meeting and reorganized.
The Board voted for Jeff Jensen to serve as their new Chair and Larry Kinsella to serve as Vice-Chair.
Also at the meeting, the Board approved the request from the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce to go through Beaver Creek Park for the Bear Paw Marathon on June 4th.
Registration numbers are all up for the marathon compared to last year, with 31 full marathon runners signed up, 78 half marathon participants, and 73 5k participants.
The marathon will require the closure of a portion of the southbound lane of Beaver Creek Highway on race day morning, but the closure should conclude by 10 AM. Pilot cars will help direct traffic.
