COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – The Columbia Falls Police Department says a 14-year-old male has been arrested on intimidation charges after allegedly making threats towards the Columbia Falls Junior High and the student body.
The arrest occurred Monday. The investigation was launched Saturday morning after concerned parents and students notified police of the alleged threats.
A press release states that the investigation showed enough evidence to determine that there was a real potential for the juvenile to follow through with the threats. Although he was not in possession of weapons, there were unsecured firearms in the residence that he could potentially have access to.
The firearms have been seized after a search warrant was conducted and remain in police custody.
Police say this was an isolated incident and there are no further suspects in this case.
