HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Health Department’s in Blaine and Hill County provided the latest local COVID-19 case updates in press releases on Monday.
In Blaine County, from June 4th through 6th, they reported 15 new COVID cases and 15 recoveries. Their active case count is at 22, with no active hospitalizations.
They will be holding a walk-in COVID vaccine clinic this Thursday, June 9th, from 8:30-11:30 AM and 1-4:30 PM at their office, 420A Ohio Street in Chinook. Moderna, Pfizer, and Pfizer Pediatric vaccines will all be available, and people can get a 1st dose, a 2nd dose, or a booster dose.
Free COVID-19 at home test kits are available at their Health Department (M-F 8-12 and 1-5), the Harlem Public Library (M 11-7, Tu and Fr 9-2, We and Th 12-6), and at Big Flat Grocery in Turner (during regular business hours).
In Hill County, 34 new COVID-19 cases were reported between May 31st and June 6th, while one case was hospitalized and one hospitalized case was discharged. Hill County is at 24 active COVID cases with one active hospitalization.
And in Phillips County, their Health Department says they are beginning to see some COVID-19 transmission in the area and ask people who are sick to stay home. They have a surplus of at-home tests available right inside the front door of their office in Malta.
Local health officials urge the public to continue to be vigilant and wash hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home when sick.
