HAVRE-(NMB) The Hill County Salvation Army is partnering with the Havre Walmart to collect school supplies for “Stuff the Bus”, an annual event that gives communities the chance to donate school supplies for children in need who are enrolled in Havre City schools.
Trina Crawford, the emergency Services Director for the Hill County Salvation Army says the list of supplies needed is extensive.
“8 ounce white school glue is one, glue sticks, No 2 pencils. Most teachers do not want the Dickson brand. Evidently the Dickson brand does not right very well for kids. Water colors, wide-ruled, loose paper, one subject wide-ruled notebooks, college ruled paper and one subject college notebooks.”
Various check stands will have a selection of school supplies to choose from at checkout. Crawford says those items will be added to the cardboard “bus” at the store.
The “Stuff the Bus” collection site will be at the Havre Walmart from Monday August 1st through Saturday August 6th. For more information or other ways to donate contact Crawford at 406-265-6411.
