(NMB) The Havre Northstars season came to an end Saturday afternoon at the State tournament in Belgrade with a loss to the Butte Miners by a final score of 15 to 5. Butte scored four runs in the first inning on three singles and a Northstar error, then and added four more runs in the 3rd. Havre scored four runs in the fourth inning but couldn’t make up the deficit. Butte pounded out sixteen hits in the game. Brody Nanini led Havre offensively going two for three at the plate. The Miners would go on to defeat the Billings Cardinals in the Championship game. Havre finished the season with thirty eight wins, twenty three losses and one tie on the year.
