Yellowstone National Park officials released a statement Friday afternoon that in the early hours of August 19th a fuel tanker truck lost control and rolled over near mile marker 16 on US Highway 191, a section of highway that runs through Yellowstone National Park.
It is estimated 4,800 gallons of unleaded fuel spilled and it is unknown as of Friday evening if any entered Grayling Creek.
National Park Service crews responded immediately with mitigation cleanup efforts underway.
The cause for the incident is currently under investigation
