Mill Falls Campground southwest of Choteau will remain open for the rest of the 2026 season. The Helena Lewis and Clark National Forrest announced that planned construction upgrades have been delayed until next year at the contractor’s request.
When work begins in 2027, the site will get widened parking, upgraded tent pads, and a new restroom. Meanwhile, officials are seeking public input on a proposed ten-dollar campsite fee to help fund future maintenance. You have until October 2nd to submit your comments.
