HAVRE (NMB) At 11:52 Hill County Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator Amanda Frickel told New Media Broadcasters that The Eagle Creek Fire is estimated at 8,200 acres of damage with 150 emergency personnel responding to the scene.
DRNC and BLM in conjunction with local area agencies are coordinating efforts with three divisions attacking the fire.
At 10:53AM the Chippewa Cree Tribe Natural Resources Face Book page posted a public service announcement declaring the fire had been 60% contained.
Assisting the air attack efforts are two choppers and one plane using retardant to suppress the fire.
Agencies are attempting to gather up the free range cattle that are grazing and are startled by the fire and emergency crews in the area.
Frickel reminds the public to stay away from the scene. She also says the public can help with donations by coordinating with the Bear Paw Volunteer Fire Department dispatch.
