The Havre Blue Ponies were victorious against the Bulldogs in Hardin Friday night. The Ponies came out with a punt right out of the gate, and exceptional defense stopping the Bulldogs on their own 10-yard line. Then scoring on three plays with a one-yard touchdown run taking the score to 7-0.
The Bulldogs started showing some strength making it across midfield, but a pick six credited to Vancampen picking it off at the 40-yard line and taking it all the way for a 60 yard pick six delivering the Ponies a lead of 14-0 in the first quarter. To finish off the first quarter the Ponies scored a 28-yard touchdown in a three play 20 yard drive, to give the Blue Ponies a 21-0 lead. With 17 seconds left in the first the Ponies scored another touchdown, giving them the lead 28-0 at the half.
The Ponies came out strong in the second half as Terry picked up a fumble on the 32-yard line and ran it in. The Ponies finishing the night off 35-0 against the Bulldogs on their homefield in Hardin.
The Blue Ponies next game will be at home Friday, September 16th with a 6:00PM kick off time against the Billings Central Rams.
