Dive Exam Being Conducted at Fresno Dam

(NMB)

(Havre) – The United State Bureau of Reclamation has announced they will conduct a dive exam of the outlet works intake and stilling basin at Fresno Dam on Monday October 17th.

Bureau of Reclamation Project Manager Steve Darlington tells us what they are looking for in the Dive Exam. “The dive exam will consist of three divers. Get an up-close look of the intake structure and the stilling basin downstream. Mainly looking for deficiencies in concrete or the trash rack to make sure that both are still able to operate safely and ensure we can continue to make necessary deliveries to our stake holders downstream.”

On Monday, the outlet works will be closed starting at 9am and will remain closed until the dive exam is completed, but it will not exceed eight hours.
