The MSU-Northern Lights Men’s Basketball Team had a double header over the weekend. Traveling to Corban University Friday evening then traveling to Bushnell University on Saturday.
The Lights lost a close game at Corban (63-71) in game one of the weekend. Anthony Braggs Jr. lead the Lights with 14pts with CJ Nelson (13 pts) and Tanner McCliment-Call (11pts) rounding out the top three scorers. The Lights shot a respectable 44% from the field but struggled at the 3PT & Free Throw Lines, shooting 29% & 60%.
Saturday evening the Lights did what good teams do, bounce back after a tough loss. MSU-Northern traveled to Bushnell and came out with a (90-84) victory to split the road trip (1-1). A great performance from forward Jesse Keltner (25pts 9 blocks) along with three other Lights in double digits helped seal the victory.
MSU-Northern improves to 8-2 on the season and gets a well-earned week worth of rest before traveling to Hope University in Chandler, Arizona on December 17th.
