The City of Havre is working with the Fresno Chapter Walleyes Unlimited, and Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks to collect Christmas trees for the purpose of enhancing perch habitat at the Fresno Reservoir. Additionally, by providing the fish with better habitat fishing opportunities will also improve.
You can donate your Christmas tree at Memorial Park 5th Ave softball complex. Dedicated containers for Christmas trees will be provided by the City of Havre starting Dec 24th for two weeks.
Once the trees have been collected, they will be distributed around the Fresno Reservoir in the spring by Montana FWP and the Fresno Chapter.
