Both MSU-Northern Men’s and Women’s basketball teams played Keyano University last night.
The MSU-Northern Women’s basketball team took game one of the double-header 74-55.
Shyan Krass led the way with 22 points on 10-13 shooting. She also added 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. Briaunna McCullough and Jalen Callender both had 16 points and 4 assists each.
The MSU-Northern Men won their leg of the double-header handily 89-70 over the #2 team in Canada.
Cj Nelson led the Lights with 21 points, shooting 5-7 from the three-point line. Jesse Keltner also filled the stat sheet with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals.
The Skylights are now 5-8 on the season, while the Lights improves to 11-3. Both teams are back in action tonight against St. Mary’s University starting at 5:30pm. Both games can be heard on KPQX.
