The MSU-Northern Lights basketball team continues its win streak now at 4, with wins over Keyano University (89-70) and St. Mary’s University (77-48).
The Lights, who have won 5 out of their last 6 games, continue to improve as the season goes on. Head Coach Shawn Huse credits a lot of experience gained from the Cactus Classic Tournament last week in Arizona. “What haven’t we learned?” was the response by Coach Huse, when asked in a live broadcast about what experiences his team gained from their trip to Arizona the previous week.
CJ Nelson (21 pts) and Jessee Keltner (17pts, 8reb, 2 blocks) lead the way for the Lights in their (89-70) win over Keyano, where at one point the Lights lead by as much as 36. Dae’Kwon Watson (17pts) lead the way in the (77-48) victory over Saint Mary’s. The game had twelve different players on the Lights score a basket.
With twelve different players scoring and eight on the season averaging over 6 ppg, this MSU-Northern Lights team is showing how deep its roster can be.
The Lights are back in action January 5th, when they host Rocky Mountain College, tip off at 7:00 PM.
