The MSU-Northern Lights basketball team went 2-0 this past weekend and are also riding a 4 game win streak.
This weekend they play Rocky Mountain College and then Montana Western on Saturday to open conference play back up.
Head Coach Shawn Huse spoke about the upcoming game against the Battlin’ Bears.
“They’ve got size, shooting, quickness and speed. They’ve got a lot of weapons out there that are capable of scoring in a lot of different ways, and they’re not afraid to push the ball. You got to be on your toes and be ready to defend and take advantage of opportunities that you can find.” – Huse
Coach Huse also talked about what his team will have to do to be successful in conference this season.
“As we get into conference, and the deeper we get into conference, it’s going to be a test of wills. Who wants to never give in and who wants to keep fighting the most. We all know each other very well in the league. The players know each other really well for the most part. It’s a battle every night. So, we to stay the course through all the disappointments and through all the successes. Stay the course and remember that the next play is the most important one. When we either have a disappointing rep or successful rep, we got to just put it behind us either way and get on to the next one.” – Huse
