The MSU-Northern Skylights were defeated by the Montana Western Bulldogs (49-47) in the Armory Gym Thursday night.
The Skylights were down (28-22) at halftime after scoring four points in the second quarter. Coming out of halftime the Skylights fell down 11 points before going on a run to take the lead early in the fourth quarter. Exchanging scores, MSU-Northern held onto a one-point lead before Joelnell Momberg of Western hit a 3 with ten seconds remaining to seal the win for the Bulldogs.
Seven different Skylights scored in the game, and they held Western to 28% from the field. Despite the great defensive performance, the Skylights now fall to (7-15) on the season.
