J.C. Isakson has been named the new University of Providence Men’s Head Basketball Coach. Isakson will be replacing Steve Keller, who announced his retirement.
Coach Isakson grew up in Augusta, before playing for Keller at Montana Western. He then coached at Glacier High School in 2013, spent 2014-2016 under Coach Keller at Montana Western, a graduate assistant at MSU-Billings until 2018, and rejoined Providence as an assistant coach from 2018-2020.
Providence Athletic Director Doug Hashley on his new hire:
“It was a very difficult task to replace a legendary basketball coach and great person in Steve Keller. He brought the University of Providence basketball program to new successes. We will always be grateful that he chose us and he will be missed.”
