The Havre Blue Ponies Tennis Team is coming off a big weekend of duals. Havre took place in 6 total with 3 going to the girls and 3 to the boys. It was an overall dominant effort by the Blue Ponies, who defeated Dawson County in the first set of duals overall (12-4). With the girls going (8-0) in their singles & duos matchups. The boys went 4-4.
When speaking about the results over the weekend, Head Coach Jeff Miller was pleased with the results but knows there is work to do:
“I saw a lot of good, a lot more good than bad. Everyone came out and played really well, it was good to get out in front of our home fans. We still have a lot to work on moving forward with a short time before Divisionals and State.” – Miller
The Blue Ponies prepare for 2 duals each on Friday and Saturday in Cut Bank. When asked about what Coach Miller is looking to see this weekend, he says finding some open spots to fill is something to keep an eye on:
“We’ll have a couple of kids gone this coming weekend in Cut Bank, so we’ll have to mix and mash things. For the most part we kind of have it nailed down, but we do have a few spots to fill here and there.” – Miller
