Hill County Passes Declaration designating County as Disaster Area

(Havre) – At their weekly business meeting on Thursday, The Hill County Commissioners passed unanimously a declaration that designates Hill County as a disaster area due to spring flooding in the county. As part of this declaration an emergency 2 mills was passed as allowed by Montana State Law, to assist the county in paying for road repairs. The disaster designation also makes Hill County eligible for disaster relief funding from the State of Montana.
