Blaine County Investigating COVID Outbreak

Blaine County Health Department is investigating a new outbreak of Covid 19, after 20 new cases were reported for the period of April 21 through April 24. 5 cases have recovered.

Symptoms of the illness include the feeling of a head cold, fever, headach, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of taste and smell, fatigue, body aches, chills, and shortness of breath. New to this particular outbreak is pink-eye like symptoms – red, itchy, burning eyes which may not be attributed to allergies, especially combined with a fever.

Residents of Blaine County are cautioned to be vigilant. Wash hands, cover coughs and sneezes, stay home if ill, and avoid others that are sick. If testing positive on home testing, contact the health department in order to get any necessary resources to you.

As of April 24, Blaine County had 39 active Covid cases, no hospitalizations, 3203 recoveries, and a total of 34 deaths from the illness.
