The MSU-Northern Lights Basketball Team and Coach Shawn Huse made another splash this off-season, signing all-around Guard/Forward Xavier Bailey. The 6-foot-5 Renton, Washington native helped the North Idaho College Cardinals finish the season with a (28-1) record with a Regional Championship, as well as a (20-7) record in 2022, in the East Region of the Northwest Athletic Conference.
Bailey averaged 9.2 points, 5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 0.5 steals per game on 49.7% shooting from the field and 42.9% from three. Bailey was also named to the East Region All-Defensive Team.

With the signing of Xavier Bailey, and the recent signing of “JJ” Thomas from Southwest Oregon University, Coach Huse and the Lights have made two big signings. Coming off a very promising 19-win season with a trip to the Frontier Conference Semi-Finals, the Lights are wasting no time trying to take that next step.
