(Havre) – As the 4th of July weekend approaches the Havre Police Department and Montanan Highway Patrol are encouraging drivers to plan a sober ride home before they celebrate.
According to statistics from 2021 Montana held the highest number of alcohol-related traffic deaths in the United States at 45% with 63%of all traffic fatalities in Montana being form impaired driving.
To enforce safe driving and road safety, law enforcement will be increasing their presence and patrols during the 4th of July and the weekend before to ensure drivers get home safely.
