A recent MSU-N Hall of Fame Inductee will have a new job title in the coming weeks. Taylor Cummings, who starred in Havre as a three-year starter for the Skylights basketball program, has been elevated to the head coach of the Gallatin High School Raptors for the 2023-24 season.
This will be Cummings’s second head coaching gig. She was the head coach at nearby Bozeman High School for the sub-varsity team and an interim at Lone Peak High School as before that.
Cummings had her most productive season for the Skylights in 2014-15. She won Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Year, led the conference in assists and was third in all of the NAIA in dimes.
The Raptors are coming off a (16-7) campaign a season ago while finishing tied for second in the Eastern ‘AA’ standing at (7-2) and being bounced in the first round of the state tournament.
