(Havre) -On Thursday, the Hill County Commission signed a resolution imposing Stage One Fire Restrictions in the county. Fire Marshall for Hill County, Kaleb Fisher explains how this decision was made.
“We had a lot of moisture and stuff here the first part of June, everything was good but with moisture, it brought a lot of fuel with the grass growing and the crops growing and stuff like that. Recently here we’ve had quite a few fires in Hill County, and they’ve actually been pretty big fires. So, we kind of mad a mutual agreement here between the commissioners and fire chief in every district and stuff like that to actually take effect on stage 1 fire restrictions.”
