Purple Evolution to play at Beaver Creek Jam

(Havre) – On October 21st the Deep Purple tribute band Purple Evolution will be performing at the Great Northern Fairgrounds as part of the Beaver Creek Jam. Stuart Mackay the Guitarist talks about the band.

“The band is a Deep Purple tribute band that also pays tribute to what deep purple became over time. They broke off into other branches, Rainbow, Whitesnake, a couple other things like that which brings influences that deep purple provided. Like Iron Maiden they liked Deep Purple Music and they studied that, kind of became what they were and of course Whitesnake is David Coverdale and David Coverdale was with deep purple for a while. So, that’s what Purple Evolution is about anyway, you know, being a Deep Purple Tribute band is good too, but I mean we try to express everything that is brings.”

He also answers the question if they play any of their own original music?

“We have a bunch of original ideas that have come from studying this music but we haven’t. Like I said we’ve only been together for just a little over a year so with everybody having jobs and stuff its tough to get together and practice and work it all out though we don’t get a lot of time together but when we do our ideas are there form the study of the music for sure. It made better players out of all of us for sure. The study of the music is… They’re pretty great musicians Deep Purple its not an easy cover they’re pretty skilled musicians all of them.”
