The Havre High volleyball team competed in their second state-wide tournament over the weekend.
After finishing third at the “Tip-Off Tournament” in Lewistown back in August, the Blue Ponies got off to a good start in the first day of pool play in Butte, placing second. However, Havre couldn’t capitalize on its great start and fell on day two to Frenchtown and Whitefish.
The Blue Ponies will have time to regroup this week as they take on Sidney and Custer County on the road. Havre beat the Eagles at home in a five-setter back on Sept. 15 and then the Cowgirls one week later in a sweep. These matches will be the final ones of the regular season for Havre before the divisional tournament in Lockwood.
