Helena Man Admits Possessing Unregistered Machine Gun

(Great Falls) – A Helena man today admitted to a firearms crime after law enforcement found an unregistered machine gun, along with other firearms and silencers, during a search of his home.

Justin Arthur Berger pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered machine gun. Berger faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.

The court set sentencing for March 20, 2024 and Berger was detained pending further proceedings. Chief United States District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case.
