(Havre) – With the 2023 Community Thanksgiving Dinner happening on November 23rd New Media Broadcasters sat down with Debbie Rhines the Coordinators and Chairperson of the event to ask how many people they were expecting to feed.
“We planned for about 700, we have enough food for about 800. the number the last few years have been sitting around 700 but we’ll have enough food. Typically, we have leftovers food that needs to go somewhere so we take it to the feed my sheep soup kitchen and then the ministry of taking care of one another in our community continues.”
We also asked if the event is always sponsored by an anonymous donor.
“Yes, the dinner is funded by anonymous donors. We do not take any donations on the day of the dinner. Many people will leave money we give that money away, we either give it to the church or to salvation army or to the Feed My Sheep soup kitchen. its not our goal to collect money our goal is feed people, create a place for people to be together where fellowship and food is shared.”
