NWS releases snow pack report

(Great Falls) Today, the National Weather Service published a report on the snow pack status in both the Sun River Basin and Boulder/Jefferson Basin.

The NWS says that we’re on track for a record low snow pack, with Most basins east of the divide being less than 70 percent, and areas around the Sun River Basin less than 50 percent.

They go on to say that while we still have half of the snow season left, the trends are not favoring a wet spring, as we are on pace for the snow to completely melt out by late May in the Sun River area.
