(Havre) On April 5th the Havre Police Department received a call from a local business that someone had used a fake $100 bill.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Lieutenant Lucas Ames of the Havre Police Department for more information.
“This bill was just like the bills that we’ve had in the past, it says for motion picture use only. So, it’s not like she counterfeited the bill herself, you can buy the motion picture bills online. They just kind of go in spurts here and there, this is the only case that we have in the last several months using the motion picture use bills. Hopefully it’s just kind of a one-time thing, definitely nothing new, we’ve had this happen quite often throughout the last couple years.”
Lt. Ames says that the public should be looking closely at their cash, and to call Havre Police Department if they find anything suspicious.
