Hill County Commissioners Business Meeting – 4/18/2024

(Havre) The Hill County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday the 18th for their weekly business meeting.

Public comment asking about a potential town hall for federal legislators that would represent Montana, Hill County Commissioner Mark Peterson says that they want to have one in Havre once the primaries are over.

Discussion on the maintenance service contract for the Hill County Detention Center, the board tabled this until they could get more information as there was some confusion on what each level of the contract would include.

The appointment of fair board member was also tabled until next week.

There were letters to the commissioners that were read during this meeting. The first was from Nathan Gopher in Box Elder urging the commission to push for business and gravel in Box Elder. The other was a complaint about a road that the county doesn’t have jurisdiction over.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 25th.
