(Montana) Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks recommends taking your father out fishing for Father’s Day, as during Father’s Day weekend a license is generally not required.
FWP has made Mother’s Day and Father’s Day weekends effectively free fishing days in Montana.
FWP says to make sure to check the harvest limits on what species you decide to fish, as regulations are still in effect for the weekend, just without the license being necessary.
