Havre, MT – After opening the 2025 season at home against the Saints of Carroll College, Montana State University-Northern football makes the return trip to kickoff 2026.
Game time is set for 6 p.m. under the lights at Nelson Stadium in Helena. Lights returning wide receiver Isaiah Woodley shared his mentality going into the season opener.
“Opportunity. God gave us an opportunity to come today. I’m excited man. You don’t get many chances to play this game, so the opportunity to play under the lights at Carroll is a blessing within itself.” Woodley shared.
“We finally get to go in the game and put it all together and see what the work has translated to in that game, so I’m just excited for the opportunity.”
Linebacker and captain of the defense Braden Cline also shared his mindset for the return trip. “Under the Lights you know, it’s always fun to play under the lights. I’m super excited and a lot of my teammates are too.”
The Lights have won just 3 games in the past four seasons but have built momentum over the summer that they anticipate will lead to a change.
